Soft Chocolate Donuts recipe
Soft homemade donuts dipped in chocolate sauce and sprinkles.

Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup lukewarm milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/2 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Oil, for frying
- Chocolate sauce and sprinkles, for topping
Method
- In a bowl, mix together the egg, granulated sugar, lukewarm milk and vanilla essence until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the instant yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar and the lukewarm water. Stir well and let it sit for 15 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and salt. Mix well.
- Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Incorporate the 2 tablespoons of butter and knead until it forms a soft, smooth dough.
- Place the dough in an airtight container and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Lightly flour a work surface and turn the dough out onto it.
- Roll out the dough and use a donut cutter to cut out donut shapes.
- Heat oil in a pan over a low-medium flame. Fry the donuts until golden brown.
- Dip the fried donuts into chocolate sauce and sprinkle with your choice of sprinkles.
