Ingredients
- For the coffee milk
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee
- For the coffee cream
- 2 tablespoons cream
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- For the layers
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
- 1/3 cup icing sugar
- 10 to 12 cake rusks
- Chocolate syrup, for topping
Method
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over low heat. Add the powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of instant coffee. Mix well until dissolved. Set aside and let it cool.
- In a bowl, combine the 2 tablespoons of cream, 1 tablespoon of instant coffee and the cocoa powder. Mix well to create a smooth mixture.
- In another bowl, beat the whipping cream until it thickens and forms soft peaks. Gradually add the icing sugar while beating until the cream is thick and fluffy.
- Add the coffee-cocoa mixture to the whipped cream. Mix gently until well combined.
- Dip the cake rusks, one by one, into the cooled coffee milk. Arrange them at the base of a large bowl.
- Spread the coffee-flavored whipped cream evenly over the layer of rusks.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup on top in a decorative pattern.
- Refrigerate for 4 to 5 hours, or until set. Serve chilled.
